PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE.
To residential customers and guests of the City of Panama City Beach water system at the following location: Wild Heron Way, Wild Heron Subdivision. Due to the planned replacement of the Wild Heron subdivision master water meter, the area listed above will experience a scheduled temporary loss in pressure between the hours of 12:00 a.m. through 3:00 a.m. on June 19, 2018. If you live in the Wild Heron subdivision, you may experience discolored water approximately 24 hours after your water service has been restored. As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing of dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

The process for applying and interviewing for a vacancy with the City of Panama City Beach is a bit different than private industry.  The City's Civil Service Charter and Rules require a step-by-step process. As an applicant, you may wish to download the appropriate application from the link provided with most vacancy postings or you may come to the Civil Service Office between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. with originals of your support documents to complete the entire application and testing process.

All applications will be reviewed and the top ten applicants for a vacancy will be interviewed at the next regularly scheduled Civil Service Board Meeting.  The Board meets the first Wednesday of each month to interview applicants for current vacancies.  Once interviews are completed, the Board will select the top three applicants to recommend to the City Manager for hiring consideration. The three successful applicants who are recommended by the Board will be interviewed at the Department level and once that interview is completed, the Department makes a recommendation to the City Manager.  The City Manager makes the final decision for all hiring in the City.
