The Russell Fields Pier (City Pier) is one of the area's most popular tourist attractions. As the longest pier on the Gulf (over 1500 feet), The City Pier offers fantastic fishing and breath taking views of sunrises and sunsets. Look down to see some amazing marine life. Whether you are looking for a great place to fish or just a stroll, don't miss the City Pier.
The Lifeguard Services on the Beach adjacent to the City Pier began in 2009. The City Beach is the only location in Panama City Beach to have designated open water trained lifeguards. The Lifeguards stationed at the City Pier are on duty from April 1st to September 30th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, patrolling 1300 feet of the white sandy beach of Panama City Beach. Our lifeguards take a proactive approach for visitors' safety. 11 regulation volleyball courts are available on the Beach for your enjoyment, as well. The Beach is also dog friendly, but must be kept on leash at all times. Owners are required to clean up after their pets.
